Joe Malone recently parachuted from an aeroplane at over 10,000ft to raise funds for GROW. It was a great day full of entertainment along with the sky dives at Kilkenny Airfield. Well done and thank you Joe.

AWARDS

GROW in Ireland Midland Region was recently shortlisted for the Healthcare Innovation Awards 2011.  The ceremony was held in the Burlington Hotel on May 6th.  GROW was shortlisted in the Health Promotion Project Category for their work on the Gatekeepers' Community Education Programme.  There were 27 entries in this category and the Gatekeepers' Course came in the final seven.   We received a certificate of merit.   The winner in this category was the Irish Heart Foundation with their F.A.S.T. Campaign on how to deal with signs of a stroke.(Face, Arms, Speech, Time).
